To come and share the mystery of life’s journey. Held by the ancient ways we explore and celebrate the joys and struggles of a man engaged in the ever-unfolding body and soul passages of life.

The call is to come together in this summer season of light, warmth and fullness for blessing, wonder and renewal. In a simple way we learn from each others life experiences and visions.

In many ways humanity is being challenged to the core question of its own survival. How as men do we care for ourselves so we may be tools of mending, inspiration, love? When we share life’s questions and wonders from our core, we lean into our enriched potential. At these gatherings we invite the solitude and permission to celebrate both our lives and the earth we share.

Support and the intention of the gathering
To be inspired by each other; to be open to listening, healing, connection and laughter. We’ll utilize the pan-cultural set of tools found in storytelling, poetry, ritual, round dance, metaphorical process and council.

Held in a form of listening and witness, the gathering is a time to embrace the spirit of summer as it sets in the circle of our own four seasons of life. What is surfacing in summer’s story for you this year? All spiritual beliefs and ways are welcome at these summer retreats. Each man chooses to engage and create the experience in his own way; the way that best works for him.

Young men Eighteen and Older
and Elders are Encouraged to Attend
These men offer invaluable insights that are a critical source of guidance and balance during the gathering.

Location and Times
Participants camp at Sapphire Canyon, a secluded, privately- owned 180 acre wilderness area adjoining 3000 acres of National Forest, near Estes Park, Colorado. The gathering begins Friday at 7pm and ends Sunday by 2pm.

A gear list and directions will be sent prior to the retreat.

Costs
We offer a sliding scale registration ranging from $250-400. We ask that you pay what you can afford and help with scholarships. We know that this program is worth the $400, but we want to assure that everyone who wishes to attend is not held back due to financial considerations.

A minimum non-refundable deposit of $100 is required to hold your reservation and assure you of a spot in this gathering. Meals are included. Space is limited to 30 participants.

If you wish to set up a payment plan or inquire about a scholarship, please arrange with the MLA office prior to the event.
